Overview

Birds and clouds are God's postmen, who travel from one great country to another. We humans cannot understand the letters they carry, but the trees, plants, water and mountains read and grasp them.

We cannot understand these postmen. But the vapour of one country goes to another country and falls there as rain; the fragrance of one country flows through the air and reaches another country. What strange mail this is, which the trees, plants, water and mountains of one country send to the trees, plants, water and mountains of another country!

📝 Summary
In 'Bhagwan ke Dakiye', Dinkar presents birds and clouds as the postmen of God. They fly across countries and continents carrying messages, but humans, divided by borders and selfishness, cannot read these letters. Nature, however, understands them perfectly: vapour from one land becomes rain in another, and fragrance from one place travels by the wind to distant places. Through this, the poet shows that nature knows no boundaries. The whole earth is one family, and the natural world keeps it connected through a constant, silent exchange of gifts. The poem carries a beautiful message of universal brotherhood and the unity of the world.

In this poem Dinkar shows that the boundaries between countries are made only by human beings out of selfishness and narrow-mindedness. Nature does not accept these borders. Birds and clouds fly freely from one country to another; the vapour of one land becomes rain in another; the fragrance of one place travels by the wind far away. In this way nature constantly exchanges its gifts among all countries without any discrimination. The poet wants to teach us that just as nature treats the whole world as one, we too should rise above the narrow feelings of nation, caste and self-interest and adopt the spirit of universal brotherhood. Thus, through the free movement of nature, the poet urges us to erase the artificial walls between countries and live as one human family.
