About the author: Mangalesh Dabral (1948-2020) was a noted Hindi poet, journalist and translator. He was born in the village of Kafalpani in the Tehri Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. He worked with several newspapers and magazines including Jansatta, Pratipaksh and Sahara Samay. His major poetry collections include 'Pahad Par Lalten', 'Ghar Ka Rasta', 'Hum Jo Dekhte Hain' and 'Aawaz Bhi Ek Jagah Hai'. He was awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award in 2000 for his collection 'Hum Jo Dekhte Hain'.
